Twin Hummingbirds

Twin hummingbirds were hatched, grew up, and flew away from our orange tree the last few weeks. We named them Cherie and Marie after the famous singing twins. We were very vigilant keeping away trespassing cats and keeping our own kitty away from the nest. It was a joy to watch them in the backyard of our home.

My wife wanted a "soothing" painting for our bedroom and I recycled an old canvas using the colors she wanted. I was inspired by the hummingbirds and created this for her. It is acrylic and measures 30 X 24 inches.

Archiving is HARD Work

I've been going through my mailart collection for three days now and I'm just scratching the surface. I never thought I would have accumulated so much great stuff when I started ARTicipating back in 2001. I think at this rate I may need about 2 months to finish it all.

Bored of Twitter

Not sure why Twitter is so popular. I keep getting more followers but I hardly post often. Guess I just don't "Get it!"

Truth is Strange

Proof that True is much stranger than Fiction.

My favorite place to marvel and gasp at the human condition.

Kodachrome Basin

On Halloween I'll be moving to southern Utah. This place is heaven on earth. So much color that your eyes will bleed. 8 gazillion acres of wilderness, arches, sandstone pipes and washes to explore. Next time you are in the area, stop by and say hello. You can find out more about Kodachrome Basin by reading the blog:
